Jumbled Thoughts Exercise

Try this exercise for your jumbled negative thoughts.

Don’t you just hate those jumbled negative thoughts? I know I do. It just gets crowded and cloudy in my mind with all these jumbled negative thoughts, so to get these feelings out I write all my negative feelings down on paper, then after that I write positive thoughts over those negative thoughts to bring positive energy to my mind, body, and soul.

Now make sure you use bright and beautiful colors. Focus on the positive words and the bright colors to channel your inner self. Cross out the negative in black and write your positive in those beautiful bright colors. Here are my findings:

I am a bad person./ I am a helpful person.

I am fat./ I am just the right size.

I want to die./ My life is worth it.

Worrying/ Think positive

Ugly/ I am beautiful.

I am a mistake./ I am only human.

I am worthless./ I am worth it.

I want to die./ My life is worth it. I am important.

Please note: when doing this exercise use bright colors for your positive thoughts. Due to technical difficulties I couldn’t use bright colors for my positive thoughts but while doing the exercise I used bold beautiful colors and it help bring more light to my positivity.

What did you learn from your first job…

Right after I graduated from high school my first real full-time was working in a nursing home. I started in the dietary department preparing food trays to go up onto the floor for all the residents. We were given sections in the kitchen to get things ready for lunch and dinner. Then after being there for several months I signed a bid to become a certified nursing assistant. I took all the classes and then took the test and pasted it. I was so excited. They assigned me to a floor. When I started on the floor it was so hard to get in the routine of things. Getting residents up, giving them bed baths and showers, getting them to appointments on time, feeding them, changing them, and doing all the charting. Once I got the hang of things it was great!

My learning experience with working at the nursing home was getting to know the patients and growing to love each one of them. Looking at the nursing home as a home away from home. Putting light into their eyes when they need it the most. Hearing their stories and learning from them. Sharing your stories with them and making them smile. Got to celebrate holidays with my other family. Being by their bed when they are sick or getting ready to pass. Knowing you are there for them during their toughest times.

When I left the nursing home it was so hard knowing that I was leaving the people that I grew to love so very much. I carry the experience with me always. Still looking back on how much the nursing has helped me love my elders and respect them today. They have been through a lot in their younger years plus their older years. I learned along the way how to love others and help them more and that has helped me today.

Share your story on what you learned from your first job.

My love and passion for blogging…

Ever since high school I have always loved to write. You can process your thoughts and feelings instead of saying them and it comes out wrong well at least for me it does. Writing is so much easier for me because I talk so much about so many different topics. My mind is always constantly thinking on what would make this piece of writing better. Sometimes I will be in a conversations and think of a topic and have to write it down. It is so crazy, but awesome because I look forward to writing my next piece. I guess that is why I have two blogs.

My blog has also helped me in many ways. See I look at both of my blogs like a journal only I am showing others. It also has boosted my confidence because I am getting more readers and helping some of them. If it wasn’t for those readers I wouldn’t have the confidence I do right now. Grabbing the reader’s attention to read is so exciting. My readers making beautiful comments, suggestion on topics, and sharing my blog with others have helped me get here.

I love the fact that the website is mine. I can write about anything and design it the way I want to. I can pick any theme and run with it. I can put the pictures I want in it. Dressing my website is so neat. Yeah it took me some time to get the website working the way I wanted and I am still learning new techniques and shortcuts  .

I am so happy that I was given this opportunity to open my blogs to help and entertain people that love to read. Believe me when I say I still have a way to go to meet my goals, but it was one of the best decisions I have made.

What is your passion?

Something Good in the World

The article below tells us about an amazing young man named Maurice Adams from Milledgeville, Georgia. He saw this elderly women struggling to go up the stairs with her walker, so the boy went over and helped her. Here is this beautiful young man helping this elderly women up the stairs without any hesitation just went up and helped. Not thinking about this hellish world where there is so much hate. He was just showing us what we all should be doing to make things peaceful in this world. Our children have this way of showing us that there is still good people in this world. Show kindness and stop the hate!!

I know that this happened in May, but I was touched by the article and the video that I had to share it again. I would like to thank Maurice Adams for showing so much kindness and to his parents to raising an amazing young man.

8-Year-Old Boy Stops Traffic To Help Elderly Woman Climb A Flight Of Stairs _ HuffPost

Do you hate Mondays?

Do you hate Mondays? Are you a busy homemaker maker and wife? Are you a working mom and running late?

Well, I am a busy homemaker and wife. I don’t have time to get dazzled up for two hours. In the mornings I sometimes don’t even have time to wash my hair. So, I need to have a very quick fix. From dry shampoos to quick updos.

Let’s start with dry shampoos:

Dry Shampoos

5 stars

Walmart: $5.88

  Dry Shampoos

  4.5 stars

  Walmart: 7.30

Wash Bangs and Fringes

If the front of your hair is greasy no worries just wash the front, blow dry, and style. If you have bangs or fringes no problem just wash them in you sink or a bath bin and blow dry and style.

Messy Bun

I love a messy bun. It is quick, easy, and plus it hides your dirty hair. This is my go to hairstyle.

Sleek Back Look

Does your hair get oily and greasy? Well there is a way to fix that for a busy morning. I don’t really care for this look on myself, but it does look good on others. All you do is use the natural oils in your and just brush it back until you are satisfied with the way it looks.

Toss Your Messy Hair Look

Yep you heard it right just toss your messy hair. Start your normal routine and toss your messy hair around. All the oils from your scalp will help your hair to look curlier and all you had to do was toss your hair. Toss and done what could be easier.

Top Knots

Top knots are great for those busy mornings. This is a hairstyle that I am not very good at doing, but it does look great and I love the fact that it hides your dirty hair. Top knots are a quick and easy way to the day started.

Wriggly Ponytail

If you have medium length hair well this is a very quick and easy hairstyle. It doesn’t work well in my hair because mine is curly, but all you must do is pull it back in a ponytail wriggle your fingertips as you put it up. Isn’t that an easy way to get your day moving?

Braid It

Don’t you just love the way braids look? Braids are great for busy days and for unwashed hair not to mention also beautiful. I love the fact that you can braid your hair all different ways and it is great for the whole day. This is one of the hairstyles that I would love to do, but I need to practice more.

Cap it or Scarf

Having the busy days mean sometimes not having enough time to anything, so go to your closet and grab that colorful hat or scarf that matches your outfit and just go with it. It is quick and easy, and it hides that unwashed hair. Also remember you also wear headband and bandanas too, to help distract others from noticing your unwashed hair.

I am hoping some of these quick and easy hairstyles help you get through those offal Mondays or those very busy days. Mondays are tough but your hair doesn’t have to be.

The Journey of Hippy Momma

My inspiration

This beautiful woman inspired me through her music. Janis Joplin’s voice was very rough and beautiful all at the same time. She had such an amazing voice that just memorizes my soul. Janis Joplin was such a social butterfly that brought so much joy to people’s lives. I wish I could have met this beautiful woman, but she died way to soon.

I believe that life should be about rock and roll and living a free life. The times are changing now, and people are losing that free life. It is time to show our children as they grow up that it is okay to have fun in life because life is hard already and you only live once. Grow up and be what you want but don’t forget to enjoy your life and have fun!!

This blog is a lifestyle blog so I can write and video blog on Hippy Momma. I want to share my craziness busy life with my kids, husband, other people, current events, recipes, relationships, and so much more. I can’t wait to go on this journey with you.

How I came up with the name Hippy Momma Life

Well the word hippy is because I love the 1960’s because of their fashion, hair styles, volkswagen bugs and buses, rock n roll, weed, concerts, and the rebellion. The clothes that I loved the most are the leather jackets, crop tanks (even though I am too old to wear them), cool leggings with cut off jean shorts, rock n roll t-shirts, and black risky sunglasses. Here are some of the styles that I love:

Here are some of the hairstyles that I love from the 1960’s:

Punk Style

The Momma is because I am a mom and my friends and my kids friends come me momma. Then, there comes life and that is because I always wanted a lifestyle blog where I could write just about anything I like or know about and have fun with it. This is an exciting start to be able to write about your interests and for me to write (which I love to do) about things I enjoy to write about. So, take this leap with me and sign up and read.
